Pay for Autodesk software only on the days it is used

Autodesk Flex is prepaid access to Autodesk products, charged by the day instead of by the year. You buy a pack of tokens, assign people to Flex in your Autodesk Account, and tokens are drawn only on the days someone actually opens a product. It suits engineers and designers who need Revit, Civil 3D or 3ds Max for a few weeks on one project, teams who want to try a product before committing to a subscription, and specialists whose software sits idle for most of the year.

How Autodesk Flex works

1. Buy a token pack for your team.
2. Assign users to Flex in your Autodesk Account, and choose which products each person can open.
3. Tokens are charged every 24 hours while a product is in use. Closing the product stops further token use.
4. Track token usage and spending per user and per product in your Autodesk Account.

Token packs

Autodesk prices Flex tokens at ₹295 each, and has reduced the smallest pack it sells to 33 tokens.

Tokens from one pack are shared across everyone you assign to Flex. For a quantity that is not listed, send your product list and the number of people who will use it, and we will quote the pack size that fits.

What a day of use costs

Each product has its own daily token rate set by Autodesk. These are the rates for products customers ask about most often, as published on the Autodesk India Flex rate sheet on 2 November 2026.

Autodesk publishes daily rates for around seventy products, and a further group of tools that draw no tokens at all once you hold a token balance, including Twinmotion for Revit, Cloud Models for Revit, Shared Views and Factory Design Utilities. Ask us for the rate of any product not listed above.

When Flex costs less than a subscription

Work out the number of days each person will open the product, then compare. A single-user AutoCAD subscription including the specialised toolsets is ₹113,000 before GST. Through Flex, AutoCAD draws 7 tokens a day, about ₹2,065, so Flex is the cheaper route when one person needs AutoCAD on fewer than roughly 55 days in a year. Above that, the subscription wins.

Tokens are drawn per user, so usage adds up across the team. Five people opening Revit on ten days each draws 500 tokens, the same as one person opening it on fifty days.

Many teams end up running both: subscriptions for the people in a product every day, and a token pack covering occasional users, site engineers and reviewers. Send us your seat list and we will work out the split.

What to check before you buy

• Tokens expire 365 days from the date of purchase. Autodesk gives no credit or refund for unused tokens, so buy against planned usage rather than stocking up.
• Token rates are per user, and tokens from one pack cannot be split across multiple teams in Autodesk Account.
• Not every Autodesk product, feature or service is available with Flex. AutoCAD LT, for one, is not on the rate sheet and needs a subscription.
• Some cloud services are charged per result rather than per day, including rendering, Scan-to-Mesh and ReCap Photo.
• Autodesk can change the daily token rates at any time, and changes apply to usage from that point onward.
• Prices follow the Autodesk India rate sheet and are indicative. Your quotation and GST invoice confirm the final amount.
